MANILA, Philippines — Faith Nisperos admitted she and the Akari Chargers failed to show up as they got swept by the PLDT High Speed Hitters at the resumption of the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
Akari, the finalists of last year’s Reinforced Conference, couldn’t assert its mastery of PLDT, suffering a lopsided 22-25, 16-25, 15-25 loss on Saturday at Philsports Arena.

The agreement to buy energy from reactors built by Kairos Power came just weeks after word that Three Mile Island, the site of America’s worst nuclear accident, will restart operations to provide energy to Microsoft.
But oil prices fell as markets were unimpressed with a pledge by China’s finance minister to boost the world’s second-biggest economy.
Nisperos was playing for Alas Pilipinas with Fifi Sharma in the Reinforced Conference when the Chargers earned their breakthrough finals appearance with a five-set comeback over PLDT marred by a controversial unsuccessful video challenge for a net fault in August last year.

I don’t think it played a role in our game today. I think we were all on the same page that we’ve moved on. We already set our own target for today’s game. Hindi lang namin na-achieve that’s why we didn’t get the result we wanted,” she said.

“I think we just need to go back to go back to our goal. We’re just struggling right now to achieve that goal. We just need to go back to training, work harder, and work smarter, and most importantly work together as a team,” Nisperos said.
