The match began with Rangpur Riders winning the toss and opting to bowl first against Sylhet Strikers, setting the tone for the game.

Their decision to field first gave them the early advantage, as they looked to put pressure on the Strikers' batting lineup right from the start.

Sylhet Strikers set a solid target, posting 205/4 with key contributions from Rony Talukdar, who scored 54 off 32 balls, and Zakir Hasan, who made 50 off 38 balls. Their efforts helped propel the Strikers to a strong total as they looked to challenge the Rangpur Riders.

The Riders' chase didn’t start smoothly, with Azizul Hakim Tamim dismissed early as Sylhet Strikers' new-ball bowlers kept the pressure on.

However, once Alex Hales and Saif Hassan settled in, the pair began to dominate, regularly finding the boundary.

Hales, who initially played second fiddle, soon took charge and brought up his second BPL fifty off just 54 balls. Despite Ariful Haque’s efforts to regain control, including shuffling his bowlers and even bringing himself into the attack, there was no stopping Hales and Hassan.

Tanzim Hasan Sakib stood out as the lone bright spot for the Strikers, conceding just 23 runs from his 4 overs.
