BACOLOD CITY — Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson has ordered the suspension of work at all capitol-based provincial government offices here on Monday afternoon, Jan. 13.

The suspension of work was ordered in view of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) national rally for peace at the Capitol Park and Lagoon in Bacolod which is expected to be attended by more than 20,000 members.

This development was the latest milestone for the company, which has seen its local market grow in value to multiple hundreds of millions of pesos annually.

This is because the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is still studying whether they will grant the price adjustments petitioned by manufacturers.

There will be temporary road closures from 6 a.m. to midnight on Monday for the INC rally, said Jose Antonio Robello, Bacolod Traffic and Transportation Management Department deputy.
